IAESTE

IAESTE (The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) - is an independent, non-profit and non-political student exchange organization. It provides students in technical degrees (primarily Science, Engineering and the applied arts) with paid, course-related, training abroad and employers with highly skilled, highly motivated trainees, for long or short term projects. With over 80 countries involved and exchanging over 4000 traineeships each year worldwide, it is the largest organization of its kind in the world.

Aims:

• To provide students in higher education with technical experience relevant to their studies;

• To offer employers well-qualified and motivated trainees;

• To be a source of cultural enrichment for trainees and their host communities;

IAESTE offers:

• Traineeships available in over 80 countries;

• Traineeships for undergraduates in science, engineering, technology and architecture;

• Course-related work in industry, research institutions, and the public sector;

• Salaries to cover the local cost of living;

• Assistance with work permits, visas and accommodation;

Belarus started to participate in IAESTE program since 2000. BrSTU started to cooperate with IAESTE since 2012. Exchange program organizes internship on a basis of reciprocity. The main task of the program is to integrate theoretical knowledge acquired in Belarus with practical experience acquired at foreign enterprises.

Requirements:

In order to take part in the program you must be 3-4th year full time student, 19-30 years old, you must speak good English, must have thorough knowledge in your majors. Participation of BrSTU in IAESTE:

2012 г. – a student of Electronic-Informational Systems faculty won internship through IIAESTE National Commitee of Turkey in Turkish company «Uygur Bilgisayar San Tic.Ltd.Sti.», Istanbul

2013 г. – 2 applications:

1) From Karunya University - Department of Information Technology( India, Coimbatore ) to the faculty of Electronic-Informational Systems.

2) From Vienna University of Technology – Institute of Building and Constructions and Technology- 206/4 ( Austria, Vienna) through IAESTE Austria to Building faculty.

The English for Specific Purposes Training took place in BrSTU on May, 12th-13th, 2016.

The Training was held under the Erasmus+ Project “Library Network Support Services (LNSS): modernising libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services”.

DAAD invites applications for a summer school in Essen

The summer school, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)  will start with visits to European Institutions in  Strasburg, followed by llectures and presentations in Essen and last from 22.08. - 31.08.2016.

Application deadline: 05.02.2016.

Working language is English.

Travel costs and costs foe stay are covered by DAAD

Chinese Students Explore Belarusian History

On the 2 June, 2014 a group of Chinese students with their supervisor had a nice trip. We visited castles of Mir and Nesvizh. The trip was exciting and full of positive emotions. We enjoyed the beauty of Belarusian nature and the old architecture.
