The department offers full-time degree courses in Accounting, Analyses and Audit, and Finance and Credit. The programme covers more than 20 subjects ranging from financial management, investment analyses, auditing to statistics, insurance, taxation and ancillary areas.
Close collaboration with local businesses ensures the study programmes that meet the needs of today's marketplace. The teaching and research staff have practical experience as chief accountants, auditors, economists, turnaround managers, and top managers. Practitioner engagement enables the department researchers to undertake research into areas relevant to the business life of the region.  The main focus of the research is turn-around management for enterprises in crisis. Research expertise is aimed at applied research to find practical solutions to the problems of enterprise rehabilitation. The research results are disseminated in academic and practitioner journals and monographic publications.

Students’ Research

In 2007 the Study and Research Association “ECOM” was established as the department’s affiliation. The Association directs their activities at supporting students showing promise as young researchers. The students of “ECOM” are involved in the Department’s research activities; participate in student scientific conferences and contests. “ECOM” is also a platform for the students to acquire the necessary research and specialist skills relevant to a career in the field of accountancy.

Open University Day

On November 4, 2018 the Open University Day with the motto “Make your choice and apply for BrSTU!” took a place at Brest State Technical University.

Results of the International Scientific Conference

On October 22 – 23 Państwowa Szkoła Wyższa im. Papieża Jana Pawła II w Białej Podlaskiej (Poland) hosted the International Scientific Conference "Reading and Writing Skills in the Educational Environment: Theory and Practice", which was held jointly with Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej w Lublinie under the patronage of prof. Jozef Berger, Rector of Państwowa Szkoła Wyższa im. Papieża Jana Pawła II w Białej Podlaskiej.

2nd International Conference on Current Research Problems of Materials, Structures, Technologies and Organization of Civil Engineering in Cross-Border Approach will be held in BrSTU

The English for Specific Purposes Training took place in BrSTU on May, 12th-13th, 2016.

The Training was held under the Erasmus+ Project “Library Network Support Services (LNSS): modernising libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services”.

DAAD invites applications for a summer school in Essen

The summer school, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)  will start with visits to European Institutions in  Strasburg, followed by llectures and presentations in Essen and last from 22.08. - 31.08.2016.

Application deadline: 05.02.2016.

Working language is English.
