Feminist Criticism of the Language

A Lecture on "Feminist Criticism of the Language" intended for the teachers of German in Brest was conducted in the frames of the conference of "Current Trends in the German Language" in Pushkin University in February 2012.

The aim of the lecture was to inform teachers of German about the other side of the gender justice of the language. This topic became popular in Germany after the success of the feminist movement in the 60's and 70's of the XX century, and at present this subject has been even legalized. In addition there were given specific points of the feminist linguistics criticism and shown facilities for introduction of the language gender justice in daily life. The presented strategy was meant to make proposals for participation in the DAF-classes and replenish teachers of German with feminist criticism of language during their studies.
