The Department of Philosophy and Culture Studies (FCSD) provides undergraduate students with a range of disciplines in liberal arts such as philosophy, culture studies, ethics, logic, religion studies, and aesthetics. The Department supervises the course on philosophy for graduate and post-graduate students. Interested students can discuss most burning issues at the meetings of the Department’s Debate Club or join frequent field trips organized by the FCSD.

Some of the Department’s key activities are cross-border projects in agro-tourism and historical estate heritage of the border regions of Poland and Belarus.

15 members of the teaching staff are working at the Department including 6 Candidates of Science, 3 Postgraduate Students.The Department’s faculty conduct their research in collaboration with the peers from Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Germany and the Ukraine.

The English for Specific Purposes Training took place in BrSTU on May, 12th-13th, 2016.

The Training was held under the Erasmus+ Project “Library Network Support Services (LNSS): modernising libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services”.

DAAD invites applications for a summer school in Essen

The summer school, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)  will start with visits to European Institutions in  Strasburg, followed by llectures and presentations in Essen and last from 22.08. - 31.08.2016.

Application deadline: 05.02.2016.

Working language is English.
