The department was established in October 1987 as a result of the merger of the departments "Agricultural Reclamation" and "Hydraulic Structures". The Department “Agricultural Reclamation” was organized on December 20, 1972. Its first head was Rylov Valery Nikolayevich, Candidate of Agricultural sciences, associate professor, who worked from 1972 to 1978. In 1978-1988, Valuev Vladimir Egorovich, Candidate of Engineering sciences, assistant professor, worked as the Head of the department. The Department of Hydraulic Structures was established in 1976. The first head from 1976 to 1982 was Shvedovsky Petr Vladimirovich, Candidate of Engineering sciences, now a professor, who was elected by competition. From 1982 to 1985, Vysotsky Oleg Arsentievich, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, associate professor worked as the head of the department.

Since 1985, Vodchits Nikolai Nikolayevich, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, associate professor was selected as the Head of the department “Hydraulic Structures”by competition. Since October 1988 headed the Department “Agricultural Hydraulic Reclamation”, formed in 1987 as a result of the merger of the two above-mentioned departments.

Since 2014 the department is headed by Meshik Oleg Pavlovich, Candidate, senior lecturer.

The educational process of the department is provided by 19 people. Of these, 15 are from the teaching staff and 4 are from the support staff of the department. 13 workers of the department graduated Brest State Technical University at different times.

Open University Day

On November 4, 2018 the Open University Day with the motto “Make your choice and apply for BrSTU!” took a place at Brest State Technical University.

Results of the International Scientific Conference

On October 22 – 23 Państwowa Szkoła Wyższa im. Papieża Jana Pawła II w Białej Podlaskiej (Poland) hosted the International Scientific Conference "Reading and Writing Skills in the Educational Environment: Theory and Practice", which was held jointly with Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej w Lublinie under the patronage of prof. Jozef Berger, Rector of Państwowa Szkoła Wyższa im. Papieża Jana Pawła II w Białej Podlaskiej.

2nd International Conference on Current Research Problems of Materials, Structures, Technologies and Organization of Civil Engineering in Cross-Border Approach will be held in BrSTU

The English for Specific Purposes Training took place in BrSTU on May, 12th-13th, 2016.

The Training was held under the Erasmus+ Project “Library Network Support Services (LNSS): modernising libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services”.

DAAD invites applications for a summer school in Essen

The summer school, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)  will start with visits to European Institutions in  Strasburg, followed by llectures and presentations in Essen and last from 22.08. - 31.08.2016.

Application deadline: 05.02.2016.

Working language is English.
