Project participants launch the TEMPUS CERES project

The representatives of BrSTU dr. Pavel Kachurka and dr. Siarhei Parfamuk take part in the  kick-off meeting of TEMPUS CERES project

25 representatives from European, Ukrainian, Belarusian universities and industrial enterprises in Žilina (Slovakia) to improve support to young researchers.

Teachers, scientists and industrials professionals met for a two-days kickoff meeting at University of Zilina (Slovakia) to discussed the Centers of Excellence for young Researchers (CERes) Tempus project. CERES aims at providing a new platform to young researchers in order to assist and train. “Improvement support of young researchers provides an environment for the science development”, recalls very enthusiastically to his colleagues prof. Tatiana Čorejová, Rector of the University of Zilina. “CERES is an integrating European Project” said doc. Ing. Emil Kršák PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Management Science and Informatics.

Prof. Karol Matiasko, Department of Informatics, Univeristy of Zilina (Slovakia) who is leading the consortium of 3 EU, 3 Ukrainian and 3 Belarusian universities, 1 Ukrainian and 2 Belarusian research enterprises, non-profit organization from Slovakia and the Ukrainian Ministry of Education. Participants from these organizations joined forces during two days to draw the first lines of the future platform. The implementation of CERES provides a support of young researchers. Both, promoting the research conditions of young researchers and involving them into real research project of enterprises are expected to raise the level of higher education.

The English for Specific Purposes Training took place in BrSTU on May, 12th-13th, 2016.

The Training was held under the Erasmus+ Project “Library Network Support Services (LNSS): modernising libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming library services”.

DAAD invites applications for a summer school in Essen

The summer school, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)  will start with visits to European Institutions in  Strasburg, followed by llectures and presentations in Essen and last from 22.08. - 31.08.2016.

Application deadline: 05.02.2016.

Working language is English.
