Culture programme

Participation in the summer school will open a unique opportunity for the students from Germany to discover Belarus, one of the quiet corners of Eastern Europe. Being the youngest state in Europe, Belarus represents one of the oldest Slavic cultures.

The students will be able to have an inside look at the everyday life of the Belarusian family and practice the Russian language with native speakers (if you want to learn Russian).

Joint project work in the international team, intellectual activities and friendly talks in Brest’s most popular buzzing spots will allow the German students to know more about the youth’s culture in Belarus and make close contacts with the people from Eastern Europe.

The active cultural programme includes visits to historic places (the Brest Fortress), picture galleries, and most attractive nature spots (Belavezhskaya Pushcha). Those, who like sports and outdoor activities, won’t be disappointed as well. In the University area there are a number of sport centers to visit. They can also take a bicycle tour across a rural area and enjoy “shashlyk” (barbecue) in the Belarusian countryside.
